Dr Roland Gosling
Roly Gosling BMBS FRCPath PhD (he, him, his) is global and public health expert specialising in infectious diseases and is most well known for his work in malaria control and elimination.
He currently is Professor of Global Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and a Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). For 10 years he led the Malaria Elimination Initiative at the Institute of Global Health Sciences at UCSF and currently is the Technical Director of the Plus Project at LSHTM – a collaborative project between LSHTM and Population Services International scaling up malaria chemoprevention for children in 7 African countries. Roly provides specialist and strategic support to international agencies including USAID, the Gates Foundation, World Health Organization; he provides direct technical support to countries on malaria programming; and researches innovative tools to improve disease control. Roly has published more than 150 peer reviewed publications and numerous reports.
Dr Macdonald Hove
Dr Macdonald Hove is a registered specialist community Physician with a Master in Public Health Medicine with special focus on Epidemiology and Disease Control.
His approach is founded on instilling a culture of evidence based curative healthcare delivery. Actively participating in HIV programming to contribute to the attainment of HIV epidemic control in Zimbabwe. Prevention, Targeted Case finding, Care, Treatment and Retention, NCDs (HT, DM, MH & CaCx) integration with HIV care. Part-time general practice to keep clinical skills afloat. Experienced in Health care management and healthcare programs implementation with years of experience from primary health care to national level. Extensive exposure to public health, HIV/AIDS, TB, and healthcare programs management with increasing levels of responsibility. Service quality improvement experience in healthcare settings. Experience implementing multimillion US$ budgets in healthcare programs. Over the past 10 years I have gained and mastered key competencies in leadership, organizational development, change leadership, health financing, health policy, monitoring and evaluation in both government and development world. An Organizational Development consultant working with the University of West England in partnership with Ministries of Health, National Malaria Control Programmes, UCSF Global Programmes and communities to tailor interventions for Malaria Elimination and HIV Epidemic control.
Professor Peter Case
Peter Case is Professor of Organization Studies at the University of the West of England. He also holds a part-time position as Professor of Management and Organization Studies at
James Cook University, Australia. His research interests encompass leadership studies, organization development, international development and global healthcare. Peter has ten years’ experience running rural development projects in Lao People’s Democratic Republic and has worked for over a decade as a consultant to the Malaria Elimination Initiative (University of San Francisco, California) advising on infectious disease program management in the Greater Mekong Sub-region and southern Africa. Peter has held visiting positions at the Helsinki School of Economics, the Royal Institute of Technology of Stockholm, Leicester University and the University of Humanistics, Utrecht. Peter has published widely in the fields of management, organization and public health He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Tropical Futures (SAGE) and is currently a member of the editorial boards of Leadership, Leadership & Organizational Development Journal and the Business & Society Review.
Daniel
Kwaramba
Multi-skilled, multi-faceted and experienced marketing and communication specialist with nearly 30 years in journalism, public relations, advertising, and general marketing. Daniel is a holder of a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Master of Science in Strategic
Management (services marketing and international marketing). Daniel has worked with various regional and interrnational clients in sectors such as mining, banking and finance, agricultural, petroleum, food and retail, telecommunications, tourism, manufacturing, medical social services and pharmaceuticals.
A former president of the Zimbabwe Institute of Public Relations (ZIPR), Daniel is the current chairman of the ZIPR Advisory Board; and has been a parttime lecturer in the ZIPR education programme since 1998.
He is a keen golfer; and a soccer and cricket enthusiast.
Amanda
Marr Chung
Amanda Marr Chung has over 15 years of experience in global health, working in academia and the non-profit and private sectors. In her roles, she has led strategy and business development and built strategic alliances, with a focus on capacity
strengthening, program management, and monitoring and evaluation. Amanda recently led a project to support the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health and Child Care in transforming its Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision program into an integrated, sustainable program that is government-led and owned. She is currently an Evaluation Specialist for the Malaria Elimination Initiative at UCSF. Amanda’s global health experience spans the areas of immunizations, maternal and child health, HIV, eye health, and malaria in ten countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Amanda received her Master’s degree in Community-Oriented Public Health Practice from the University of Washington and her AB in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University. She is a 3rd year DrPH candidate at UC Berkeley.
Professor Jonathan
Gosling
Jonathan Gosling is Emeritus Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of Exeter, having been Chair and Director of the Centre for Leadership Studies there for 12 years, prior to which he directed the Strategic Leaders Unit at Lancaster University Management School.
He has played a key role in developing innovative leadership and management education programmes, including the International Masters in Health Leadership at McGill University, One Planet MBA, and Roundtables for Practicing Managers. Jonathan currently acts in an advisory capacity for leadership-related projects in commercial, governmental and activist organizations. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the ILA in 2021
